SEATTLE — During the NFC West matchup on Sunday, Puka Nacua, a wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams, was ejected for striking Seattle Seahawks linebacker Tyrel Dodson in the second quarter.
The incident occurred after Seahawks cornerback Riq Woolen made an interception off a pass intended for Nacua with just 33 seconds remaining in the first half. Although the play was called down by contact, Dodson continued to interact physically with Nacua, leading to Nacua’s aggressive response.
Before the game, Nacua was deemed questionable due to a knee injury but ultimately played. This second-year player had previously suffered a right knee injury during training camp, which he further aggravated in the season opener against Detroit, resulting in a five-game stint on injured reserve.
Throughout the game, Nacua had a quiet performance, concluding with only one reception for 11 yards out of four targets.
