ATLANTA — The Dallas Cowboys have confirmed that their quarterback, Dak Prescott, has sustained a hamstring injury during Sunday’s matchup against the Atlanta Falcons and will not be returning to the field.
Towards the end of the third quarter, it was observed that Prescott was also showing signs of discomfort related to his right hand. However, the team has confirmed that it is indeed the hamstring issue that has sidelined him for the remainder of the game.
Prior to leaving, Prescott had a productive performance, successfully completing 18 of his 24 passes for a total of 133 yards and achieving one touchdown while maintaining a clean slate with no interceptions. This marked the end of his streak of three consecutive games with two interceptions each. Additionally, Prescott contributed with three rushes, gathering 30 yards on the ground.
As the Cowboys sought to break free from a potential third consecutive loss, Cooper Rush took over as quarterback at the beginning of the fourth quarter following Prescott’s exit from the game.
