ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills announced that wide receiver Amari Cooper and starting cornerback Christian Benford will not participate in their upcoming matchup against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Cooper is dealing with an injury to his left wrist, marking his first absence from the lineup since joining the Bills in a trade with the Cleveland Browns three weeks ago. Similarly, Benford will also be sidelined due to a wrist injury he incurred during practice earlier this week.

Despite these setbacks, the Bills (6-2), who currently hold the top position in the AFC East, are pleased to see the return of starting linebacker Terrel Bernard and wide receiver Curtis Samuel, both of whom had missed the previous game due to injuries to the ankle and pectoral, respectively.

On the other side, the Miami Dolphins (2-5) will be without starting safety Javon Holland, who is recovering from hand and knee injuries. They had already confirmed that defensive tackle Zach Sieler will also be out due to an eye injury, along with cornerback Kader Kohou, who is dealing with a neck issue.

This weekend’s game is expected to be crucial for both teams as they navigate through the rest of the season.
