GREENSBORO, N.C. — In a dominant performance, Darius Wilson led the William & Mary Tribe to a commanding 45-7 victory over North Carolina A&T on Saturday.
Wilson shone in the game, completing 15 of 20 passes for 217 yards while also contributing significantly on the ground with 74 rushing yards and one touchdown. The Tribe’s offense was potent, amassing a total of 489 yards throughout the contest.
The star receiver for Wilson was Malachi Imoh, who not only caught a touchdown pass but also excelled on the ground, running for two touchdowns himself. Wilson connected with Sean McElwain for a striking 58-yard touchdown pass, while his rushing touchdown came from a 10-yard dash. Imoh’s impressive plays included a 21-yard run that expanded the Tribe’s lead to 21-0 in the opening quarter.
Alongside Wilson, Bronson Yoder also made a notable impact, rushing for 73 yards and scoring a touchdown, while Imoh finished the game with 71 rushing yards. Both McElwain and Hollis Mathis were key targets, each registering 96 receiving yards.
After an initial turnover on downs, William & Mary found its rhythm and scored on three consecutive drives. Imoh contributed further with a 9-yard reception and a 12-yard rush, pushing the score to 35-0.
In a brief response, Shimique Blizzard of the Aggies managed to secure a touchdown with a short run. However, Yoder quickly countered with another scoring run for the Tribe. Blizzard was the standout performer for North Carolina A&T, accumulating 132 of the team’s 246 total yards.
William & Mary improved their record to 6-2, with a 3-2 mark in the Coastal Athletic Association, while the Aggies fell to 1-8, struggling to find momentum this season.
