WR DK Metcalf sidelined for Seahawks’ Sunday matchup against Rams due to knee sprain

RENTON, Wash. — DK Metcalf, the star wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks, has been declared sidelined for the upcoming game against the Los Angeles Rams due to a sprained right knee.

This will mark the second consecutive game that Metcalf will miss after suffering an MCL sprain during a match against Atlanta on October 20.

Head coach Mike Macdonald expressed optimism earlier in the week about Metcalf’s potential return, but on Friday, he officially ruled him out for the game. Metcalf has not participated in any practice sessions throughout the week.

“Just needs more time,” Macdonald stated. “It’s nothing that he could have done differently. We just need more time for him. That’s what’s best for him and the team.”

This season, Metcalf has made 35 receptions for a total of 568 yards along with three touchdowns, maintaining an impressive average of 16.2 yards per catch.

The Seahawks, currently standing at a 4-4 record, are set to have a bye week following this matchup.
