DEIR AL-BALAH, Gaza Strip — Medical personnel in Gaza reported on Friday that the fatalities resulting from Israeli airstrikes in the central region of the territory the previous day have increased from 16 to 25 as more victims have been located.
The deceased individuals include five children and seven women, according to hospital sources.
In response to the attacks, the Israeli military did not provide specific details regarding these strikes but asserted that they targeted and eliminated armed militants in central Gaza on Thursday.
This escalation in violence has highlighted the ongoing tensions and humanitarian concerns in the region, raising alarms about the impact on civilians caught in the conflict.
The situation remains fluid, with both local authorities and international observers closely monitoring developments as the death toll continues to rise amidst the military actions.
As the region battles through these challenging times, the focus turns towards the urgent need for dialogue and conflict resolution to prevent further suffering among civilians.
