LONDON — Arsenal’s captain Martin Odegaard is making strides towards a comeback from an ankle ligament injury, according to Norway’s head coach Stale Solbakken.

Odegaard has been sidelined after experiencing considerable damage while representing Norway in September.

Solbakken shared insights in an interview with the Norwegian outlet Verdens Gang, stating, “All signs suggest that his recovery is proceeding as anticipated. The final steps will involve training with teammates and undergoing opponent practice sessions.” He added, “The final result will depend on how well he reacts to the training, but we feel optimistic about his readiness.”

Arsenal is set to face Premier League leaders Liverpool this coming Sunday, but it remains uncertain whether Odegaard will be available for selection in that crucial match.
