MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An 80-year-old resident tragically passed away Thursday following a fire in her apartment at a senior living complex located in Memphis, Tennessee, according to local authorities.

Teams from the Memphis Fire Department responded promptly to the scene where they discovered the elderly woman outside her unit, suffering from cardiac arrest. Despite medical efforts, she unfortunately succumbed to her condition shortly thereafter.
