SAN FRANCISCO — Moses Moody, a guard for the Golden State Warriors, has signed a contract extension that will keep him with the team for three more years, totaling $39 million. The Warriors are set to kick off their season on Wednesday in Portland.

Head Coach Steve Kerr expressed his excitement about Moody’s extension, highlighting the qualities he brings to the team. “He embodies everything we seek in our organization. His character, work ethic, and resilience are top-notch,” Kerr stated on Monday. “He has truly earned this achievement, and I couldn’t be happier for him. I know how excited he is about this milestone in his career.”

Moody, standing at 6 feet 5 inches, was selected by the Warriors as the 14th overall pick from Arkansas in the 2021 NBA Draft. During his 23 starts, Moody has improved his production, averaging 11.1 points, along with 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists across 26.4 minutes.

Last season marked a significant improvement for Moody, as he recorded career highs of 8.1 points and 3.0 rebounds, contributing to 25 games where he scored in double figures. Notably, he managed to score 20 points or more in three different games, showcasing his potential and value to the Warriors’ lineup.
