Chase Artopoeus leads Chattanooga to a dominating 37-5 win against Wofford.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Chase Artopoeus played a crucial role in Chattanooga’s impressive 37-5 victory over Wofford on Saturday, contributing significantly with a touchdown pass and two rushing touchdowns during the third quarter. This win marked Chattanooga’s fourth consecutive victory.

After halftime, Artopoeus initiated the scoring for the Mocs by powering through from the 1-yard line, finishing off an impressive 81-yard drive. Just 50 seconds later, he extended the lead to 24-5 with a 13-yard run, which came shortly after Kobe Joseph intercepted a pass from Wofford’s Pauly Seeley V.

In his performance, Artopoeus completed 13 out of 19 passes, accumulating 145 yards, and added 36 yards on the ground from five carries. Reggie Davis was another key player for Chattanooga, rushing for 74 yards on 21 attempts, while Chris Domercant was solid in receiving, catching six passes for a total of 101 yards.

On the other side, Seeley contributed for Wofford with 129 yards, completing 16 of his 29 pass attempts. The Terriers managed a total of 257 offensive yards while allowing 321 yards to Chattanooga.

Earlier in the game, Artopoeus connected with Jay Gibson for a 2-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter, which briefly gave the Mocs a 10-3 lead. Wofford did close the gap before halftime when they tackled Davis in the end zone for a safety, bringing the score to 10-5.

Kicking off the final stretch of the game, Jude Kelley added a third-quarter 48-yard field goal following Artopoeus’s rushing touchdowns, which gave Chattanooga a 22-point lead. Kelley also successfully made a 44-yard field goal, and Reuben Lowery III sealed the game by returning an interception 61 yards for a touchdown, solidifying the Mocs’ decisive victory.
