NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans have officially placed wide receiver Treylon Burks on injured reserve, making way for the promotion of quarterback Trevor Siemian from the practice squad. This decision raises uncertainty regarding Will Levis’ availability for the upcoming game against Buffalo.

Head Coach Brian Callahan suggested on Friday that Burks was likely heading to injured reserve after the 18th overall pick of the 2022 draft sustained a knee injury during practice earlier in the week. Callahan indicated that Burks would be sidelined for “some time no matter what.”

Burks was acquired as part of the trade that sent Pro Bowl receiver A.J. Brown to Philadelphia on draft night. For the current season, he has recorded four receptions totaling 34 yards. In his career, he boasts 53 catches for 699 yards and one touchdown over 27 games.

As for the Titans (1-4), Levis is also considered questionable after experiencing limitations during practice sessions on Friday due to an AC joint sprain in his right throwing shoulder, an issue that originated on September 30. Last week, he managed to throw for just 95 yards in a loss against Indianapolis.

Throughout the week, Levis participated in practice but had restrictions on both Wednesday and Friday. In light of these events, veteran quarterback Mason Rudolph may be poised for his first start since last season, when he led the Pittsburgh Steelers in the final three games, securing victories in all, including a notable 17-10 win against Baltimore on the road in the last game of the season on January 6.

Rudolph joined the Titans in the offseason and was instrumental in completing their only win against Miami.

Additionally, the Titans have brought defensive lineman Abdullah Anderson onto the active roster. Along with Siemian, they also promoted defensive back Gabe Jeudy-Lally from the practice squad ahead of the game.
