The Bears opened the second half with a fantastic 18-play, 75-yard drive that culminated in a 1-yard touchdown run by Qwentin Brown, narrowing Princeton’s lead to eight points while consuming 7:42 of the clock.
Brown continued to push, as Isaiah Reed intercepted Hipa in the end zone during a critical second-and-goal situation, transitioning the momentum into scoring with a 33-yard field goal from Christopher Maron, bringing the score to 22-17 with just over eight minutes remaining in the game.
After Brown forced a three-and-out from Princeton, the Bears managed a drive that took them to Princeton’s 30-yard line. However, the Princeton defense held firm as Tahj Owens recovered a fumble from Matt Childs.
