South Korean intelligence has reportedly discovered that North Korea has sent approximately 12,000 soldiers to aid Russia in its ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
This information was shared by the National Intelligence Service, which indicated that these North Korean forces have already departed from their homeland.
While the National Intelligence Service has not yet authenticated this report, South Korea’s presidential office took the situation seriously.
Earlier on Friday, President Yoon Suk Yeol convened an emergency meeting to address the implications of North Korea’s troop movements to Ukraine.
However, the public affairs department of the presidential office has not provided confirmation regarding whether there has been an official verification of the North Korean troop deployment.
This situation highlights the growing international tensions and the complexities surrounding the involvement of various nations in the conflict in Ukraine.
