A tragic incident occurred in Newcastle, northeast England, when a 7-year-old boy lost his life due to an explosion in a residential home on Wednesday, according to local law enforcement.

Images captured from a drone revealed the devastation, showing the central home in a series of six completely transformed into a heap of charred debris, while surrounding houses sustained considerable damage. Emergency responders, accompanied by search dogs, meticulously searched through the ruins after firefighters worked to extinguish the remaining flames.

Superintendent Darren Adams from Northumbria Police confirmed that the young boy was pronounced dead at the site where the explosion took place during the night. Six individuals were transported to hospitals with injuries that varied in severity.
