OAKS, Pa. — A town hall event featuring Donald Trump in the Philadelphia suburbs turned into an unexpected concert on Monday after the former president faced a couple of medical emergencies among attendees.

During a lively question-and-answer segment, Trump momentarily paused when a doctor in the crowd rushed to assist the first individual who required attention. After a second medical incident interrupted the discussion facilitated by South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, Trump decided to cease taking further questions. Both Trump and Noem noted the uncomfortable warmth in the venue, leading Trump to inquire about the air conditioning.

In a humorous response to his query, Noem remarked, “They probably can’t afford it, sir, in this economy.”

When the first emergency occurred, Trump asked for an instrumental version of “Ave Maria” to be played, which was promptly delivered. As the second situation unfolded, he specifically requested the rendition by renowned Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti, which was quickly accommodated.

After Noem announced that the second attendee was alert and moving again, Trump continued to engage the crowd for a short while before suggesting they enjoy some music instead of his further remarks, as some audience members seemed hesitant to leave.

“They’re two patriots who went down,” Trump stated after the music played. “We love them. And because of them, we ended up with some great music, right?”

He opted to conclude the evening with an impromptu musical selection for those still in attendance. Calling for the Village People’s classic “YMCA,” the familiar tune began blaring, typically signaling that Trump would soon depart. However, he remained onstage, continuing to engage with the audience.

“Nobody’s leaving,” Trump humorously observed. “What’s going on?”

The music played on for approximately 40 minutes, with Trump dancing to a diverse mix of songs, including Sinead O’Connor’s touching “Nothing Compares 2 U,” Rufus Wainwright’s poignant interpretation of “Hallelujah,” and Guns N’ Roses’ epic “November Rain.”

While some of his supporters exited the venue, many chose to stay for the full experience, transforming the atmosphere into a scene reminiscent of Trump’s winter gatherings at Mar-a-Lago, his exclusive estate in South Florida where he enjoys acting as a DJ among affluent club members.

The event concluded as “Memory” from the musical “Cats” resonated in the background, signifying the end of the unusual gathering.

Karoline Leavitt, Trump’s national press secretary, shared an image of Trump from the side of the stage on the social media platform X, captioning it with the exuberant label “DJ TRUMP!”

In another post, Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung commented on the unfolding scene by saying that “something very special is happening in Pennsylvania,” emphasizing Trump’s unique presence in the political landscape.
