A tragic accident occurred on a highway in northeastern Egypt, resulting in the deaths of 12 individuals and injuring 33 others, as reported by the health ministry late Monday.
The incident involved a bus transporting students from Galala University in Suez, who were on their way home via the Ain Sokhna highway when the crash took place. The health ministry did not provide specific details regarding the cause of the accident.
According to the report, 28 ambulances were dispatched to the scene, where they swiftly transported the injured individuals to the Suez Medical Complex; however, the condition of those injured has not been publicly disclosed.
Traffic accidents are a frequent and deadly occurrence in Egypt, leading to thousands of fatalities annually.
