Anthony Chiccitt showcased an impressive performance by throwing two touchdown passes while also rushing for another as Robert Morris marked Homecoming with a resounding 23-0 victory against Delaware State on Saturday.

The Colonials entered halftime with a narrow 3-0 lead, courtesy of a 37-yard field goal by Jayon Jenkins. However, Chiccitt took control in the second half, connecting on touchdown passes of 42 yards to Carl Smith and 4 yards to Cole Mitchell, followed by a 20-yard touchdown run that sealed the victory.

In total, Chiccitt completed 25 of 31 passes for 224 yards, while Tyvon Edmonds Jr. contributed 70 rushing yards. Smith had a standout game in the receiving department, making three catches for a total of 88 yards.

On the other side, Delaware State’s C.J. Henry and Jaden Stewart combined to go 19-of-30 passing for 151 yards, but the Hornets struggled throughout the matchup, falling to 1-6 for the season.

This shutout marks a significant milestone for the Colonials, as it is their first since a dominant 46-0 victory over Virginia-Lynchburg in September of the previous year. Additionally, it represents the fourth shutout victory celebrated during Homecoming for the team.
