Oklahoma City authorities reported that police fatally shot a woman who had been discharging a gun and posing a threat to officers following a vehicle accident.
The woman was identified as a suspect in a prior shooting incident, according to police Captain Valerie Littlejohn.
When seven officers arrived at the scene of the accident to engage with her, they resorted to gunfire after she menaced them with her weapon, as explained by Littlejohn.

Captain Littlejohn further stated, “At this point, it remains unclear whether she was targeting anyone specifically or simply firing shots into the air or the ground.”
Law enforcement is in the process of reviewing body camera footage to gather more information regarding the situation, emphasized the police captain.
Fortunately, none of the seven officers involved sustained any injuries during the incident.
All officers have been placed on paid administrative leave as the investigation unfolds, according to Captain Littlejohn.
