The Miami Dolphins have confirmed that Tyler “Snoop” Huntley will step in as quarterback for their upcoming game against the Tennessee Titans on Monday night. Huntley will be taking over due to Skylar Thompson’s rib injury sustained in the last game against Seattle, making him and Tim Boyle the available options for Week 4. Tua Tagovailoa remains sidelined with a concussion, further leading to Huntley’s selection for the role on Monday.

Coach Mike McDaniel explained that their decision to go with Huntley was influenced by both his experience and the positive response he has received from his teammates since joining the team in Miami. The Dolphins signed Huntley off the Ravens’ practice squad on September 17, and his proven track record in leading big games like the Pro Bowl in 2022 after filling in for an injured Lamar Jackson, contributed to their confidence in him. With a career completion rate of 64.6%, Huntley also brings a unique running ability to the Dolphins’ offense.

For Huntley, this game against the Titans will be a special homecoming as he grew up in South Florida but pursued his college football career in Utah before spending the initial four seasons mostly with the Baltimore Ravens. Huntley expressed his excitement, stating, “That’s just a child’s dream. Being able to play for your home team, man, that’s just something everybody doesn’t get to come across.”

Tim Boyle will serve as Huntley’s backup for the Monday night game. The Dolphins are hopeful for a solid performance from Huntley as they navigate through their quarterback challenges and aim for a successful outcome against the Titans.
