The Cleveland Browns are facing a significant challenge as they deal with a multitude of injuries affecting key players in the team. Myles Garrett, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year in the NFL, is among the players currently sidelined due to various injuries. Garrett is nursing foot, Achilles tendon, and thigh injuries, which have been impacting his performance on the field. Despite his struggles, coach Kevin Stefanski has not ruled out Garrett for the upcoming game against Las Vegas on Sunday.
In addition to Garrett, the Browns have a growing list of injured players that could further complicate their upcoming matches. Tackles Jack Conklin and Jedrick Wills Jr., running backs Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong Jr., linebacker Jordan Hicks, and tight end David Njoku are all dealing with various injuries. Wills, who recently returned to the field after knee surgery in December, suffered another injury during the game against the New York Giants.
Furthermore, the Browns’ offensive line suffered a significant setback with the loss of starting right guard Wyatt Teller, who has been placed on injured reserve for at least four games due to a strained medial collateral ligament. Teller was injured during a field-goal attempt in the game against the Giants, adding to the team’s current injury woes. The absence of Teller is especially concerning for the Browns’ struggling offense, which has only managed to score 50 points in three games and has failed to adequately protect quarterback Deshaun Watson, resulting in him being sacked a league-leading 18 times.
The team faces a tough road ahead as they work to overcome these injuries and improve their performance on the field. The uncertainty surrounding the availability of key players like Garrett and Teller adds to the challenges that the Browns will have to navigate in the upcoming games.
