To make up for the missed game, a split doubleheader is now scheduled for Sunday. The first game will start at 12:35 p.m. instead of the original 1:35 p.m. time slot, while the rescheduled game will commence at 5:35 p.m.

Originally, pitchers Pablo Lopez for the Twins and Kutter Crawford for the Red Sox were set to start on Saturday. On Sunday, Zebby Matthews and Nick Pivetta were the planned starters for the season series finale.

The Twins currently hold the American League’s third wild-card position. The Red Sox, trailing behind the Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners by five games with eight games left to play, are still in contention for a wild-card spot.
