Barcelona’s midfielder Gavi Páez has rejoined his teammates in training after a 10-month recovery period from surgery to repair his torn ACL, as confirmed by the club on Thursday. The 20-year-old player sustained the injury to his right leg during a European Championship qualifier last November, where he showcased his skills as one of Spain’s key players at the 2022 World Cup.
Despite his absence, Spain managed to clinch the Euro 2024 title in Gavi’s non-involvement, however, his return to the Barcelona squad is anticipated to provide a significant boost. The club has not specified a timeline for when Gavi will receive medical clearance to resume competitive play.
