Two individuals have been hospitalized, and a few others have sustained minor injuries following a small explosion that ignited a fire at a concession trailer during the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening at a compact trailer selling a variety of food items. According to a news release from the state fair, two individuals were transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment. The specifics of their injuries have not been disclosed. Additional fair attendees sustained minor injuries but opted not to receive medical attention, as stated by fair officials. The cause of the explosion is currently being investigated by the Kansas State Fire Marshal’s Office along with the Hutchinson Fire Department. The Kansas State Fair, a 10-day event that attracts approximately 350,000 visitors annually, is set to conclude on Sunday.
