Greene’s performance improved significantly in this game, with a 40-yard rushing touchdown just before halftime and a 99-yard drive in the third quarter, culminating in a 10-yard touchdown pass to Hudson Clement. Greene finished the game with 236 passing yards and 68 rushing yards before sitting out the fourth quarter. Despite their victory, West Virginia struggled to contain Albany quarterback Myles Burkett, who threw for 306 yards and two touchdowns.

Albany fell to 1-9 all-time against Bowl Subdivision opponents, with standout performances from player Seven McGee, who amassed 90 receiving yards in this game, bringing his total to 209 yards in two games. On the other hand, West Virginia’s defense faced challenges, allowing multiple long completions and penalties throughout the game.
