In New Britain, Connecticut, Brady Olson led Central Connecticut to a 33-3 victory over Fordham with two touchdown passes. Central Connecticut took advantage of Fordham’s mistakes in the second quarter, scoring 19 points. A high snap recovered by Vince Thomas resulted in a touchdown after a failed punt attempt by Fordham’s Will Haslett. A mishandled snap by quarterback CJ Montes led to another Central Connecticut score. Elijah Howard ran for a 24-yard touchdown, and Jack Barnum contributed a field goal for the Blue Devils’ 19-point halftime lead. Olson completed 15 of 31 passes for 223 yards with two touchdowns but also threw two interceptions. Julius Loughridge rushed for 127 yards on 15 carries for Fordham. The Rams struggled with five fumbles in the rainy conditions, while Central Connecticut had two fumbles as well.
