The game was a close one, with Bryant trailing 17-14 in the fourth quarter before Fabrice Mukendi’s 18-yard run set up Ruggieri’s game-winning 9-yard touchdown reception with just over four minutes remaining. Despite a late push from Franklin Pierce, Bryant’s defense held strong to secure the win.

Guest completed 26 of 41 passes, with Ruggieri being his favorite target, catching nine passes for 129 yards. Mukendi also contributed with 62 rushing yards on 10 carries for Bryant, now with a 1-1 record.

On the other side, Adrian Parker of Franklin Pierce put up a good fight, going 28 of 50 for 268 yards and tossing a touchdown to Jahmir Dixon, who had five receptions for 89 yards and a score. Despite their efforts, Franklin Pierce fell short in the close contest.

Bryant is set to face Holy Cross next Saturday before heading into their Coastal Athletic Association debut against New Hampshire on September 21st. This win adds momentum to Bryant’s season as they aim to continue their success in the upcoming games.
