    Morgan State secured a 30-28 season-opening victory against Hampton, with Miles Myree scoring two touchdowns in the game. The Bears maintained the lead throughout the match and dominated the ground game, accumulating 244 yards rushing on 55 carries. Quarterback Tahj Smith only threw the ball 8 times, completing 5 passes for a total of 75 yards, relying heavily on the rushing duo of Myree and Keith Jenkins Jr., with both players gaining 68 yards each.
