Italy’s Federico Chiesa has expressed his excitement as he embarks on a “new adventure,” amidst rumors of a potential move to Liverpool from Juventus. Italian media captured footage of Chiesa at an airport, reportedly en route to England on a private flight.
In remarks to the press, Chiesa conveyed his happiness for the upcoming journey, extending gratitude to Juventus fans for their affection throughout the years. He stated, “I’m really happy and ready for this new adventure. I want to thank the Juventus fans, thanks for all the affection over the years, I’ll keep you in my heart, thanks Juventus.”
While Chiesa eagerly anticipates the alleged move, there has been no official statement from either Liverpool or Juventus regarding any potential deal. Reports from British media suggest a transfer fee of 13 million euros ($14.5 million) for the winger, who played a pivotal role in Italy’s victorious Euro 2021 campaign.
Should the transfer materialize, Chiesa, son of former Italy striker Enrico Chiesa, would become Liverpool’s first outfield signing since Arne Slot assumed the role of manager. Recently, Liverpool secured the services of Georgia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia, with the understanding that he will remain with the Spanish club for the rest of the season.
