Los Angeles Dodgers remove 15-year pro Jason Heyward from roster, replace with Chris Taylor from injured list

The Los Angeles Dodgers have decided to designate veteran outfielder Jason Heyward for assignment and have activated Chris Taylor from the injured list, the team announced on Thursday.
Heyward, 35 years old, has had a career spanning 15 seasons in the major leagues with the Atlanta Braves, the St. Louis Cardinals, the Chicago Cubs, and most recently, the Dodgers.
During this season, Heyward appeared in 63 games for the Dodgers, where he had a batting average of .208 with six home runs and 28 RBIs. Notably, he hit a crucial three-run home run in the eighth inning of the Dodgers’ recent 6-3 victory against Seattle. Heyward had been with the Dodgers for the past two seasons.
On the other hand, Chris Taylor, a versatile 33-year-old infielder/outfielder, has been reinstated after being on the injured list since July 25 due to a right groin strain.
Taylor made a return to the field after his recovery, playing five games in the minor leagues, where he had six hits in 18 at-bats, including two doubles and four RBIs.
Before his injury, Taylor participated in 64 games this season, achieving a batting average of .167 with three home runs and 15 RBIs.
