San Diego Padres shortstop Ha-Seong Kim departed the team’s match in Colorado on Sunday during the third inning due to a right shoulder injury.
Kim started the inning with a single but sustained the injury while diving back to the base during a pick-off attempt. He promptly gestured towards the San Diego dugout before exiting the game. Infielder Tyler Wade took his place on the field.
With a batting average of .233, Kim has hit 11 home runs, accumulated 47 RBIs, and recorded 22 stolen bases so far this season.
