Sudan is facing a cholera outbreak that has resulted in the deaths of around twenty individuals and the illness of hundreds more in the past few weeks, as per health officials on Sunday. The country has been dealing with a 16-month conflict and severe floods.
Health Minister Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim reported that at least 22 individuals have lost their lives due to the outbreak, with a minimum of 354 confirmed cases of cholera identified throughout the nation in recent weeks.
