Beltré recognized by Rangers for HOF induction he is still processing

Adrián Beltré, recently inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, expressed that he has yet to fully process the significance of this achievement. The Texas Rangers, his last team in his 21-season career and the team he played with the longest, honored him in a series of events four weeks after his induction. This included a ceremony before their game against Minnesota, where his Hall of Fame plaque was displayed. Beltré mentioned that after this weekend, he plans to spend quality time with his family and hopefully relax on a beach.
Before his induction, Beltré had stopped in Texas while on his way to Cooperstown to participate in events for the MLB All-Star Game hosted by the Rangers, where he managed the American League team in the Futures Game and appeared at various functions with Commissioner Rob Manfred. Despite the surreal and hectic nature of the Hall of Fame weekend, Beltré cherished moments with his family and had conversations with Hall of Famers he admired, like Juan Marichal and Mike Schmidt.
After returning from Cooperstown, Beltré got caught up in family life with his three children and had to forgo a planned vacation. The weekend in Texas began with Beltré being the guest of honor at the team’s Hall of Fame luncheon, followed by the unveiling of public display cases showcasing memorabilia from his time with the Rangers, including his milestone hits and a jersey worn during one of his career cycles. Current Rangers third baseman Josh Jung commended Beltré as a special player, while Twins manager Rocco Baldelli praised Beltré as a unique and exceptional talent both on and off the field.
