Paris Saint-Germain started off their season with a 4-1 victory over Le Havre in the French league opener, marking their first game post-Kylian Mbappé’s departure to Real Madrid. The scoreline may have seemed comfortable, but PSG’s last three goals were scored in the final five minutes of the match. With a squad featuring many young players, PSG is looking towards a new generation to step up in the absence of Mbappé. The team even started the match with 16-year-old Ibrahim Mbaye on the left wing. PSG took the lead early on with a goal from 23-year-old South Korean forward Lee Kang-in. Despite Le Havre equalizing through Gautier Lloris, PSG ultimately secured the win with goals from Ousmane Dembélé, Bradley Barcola, and Randal Kolo Muani, who scored from a penalty in the last minute. João Neves, a 19-year-old player, contributed with two assists during the match.
