American golfer Megan Khang and Australian player Minjee Lee are leading the Women’s Scottish Open at 8 under par after shooting impressive rounds on Friday. Khang finished with a 4-under 68, including six birdies with a memorable chip-in on her final hole, while Lee carded a 69 to tie for the lead with Khang.

The duo holds a two-shot lead over a trio of players, including Lydia Ko, Charley Hull, and Lauren Coughlin, who are all at 6 under par. Ko, an Olympic gold medalist, posted a 69, while Hull and Coughlin both shot 68 and 69 respectively.

Lee’s most recent victory was at the BMW Ladies Championship last year, while Khang is aiming for her first win in 2024. Following closely behind the leaders are Mary Liu of China and Esther Henseleit from Germany, both tied for sixth place at 3 under par.

Next up for the players is the Women’s British Open at St. Andrews next week, with the Scottish Open serving as the final tune-up event before the major tournament. The top five competitors at the Women’s Scottish Open have set themselves apart from the rest of the field, poised for an exciting weekend of golf.
