Cleveland Browns rookie Defensive Tackle Mike Hall Jr. faces domestic violence charges after arrest

Cleveland Browns rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. was arrested and charged with domestic violence following an altercation with his girlfriend, as reported by Avon Police Public Information Officer James M. Drozdowski. The incident occurred on Monday night and Hall was booked and arraigned at Avon Lake Municipal Court. The Browns, where Hall is a second-round pick from Ohio State, acknowledged the situation in a statement confirming their knowledge of the incident. The team also mentioned that they are cooperating with the authorities and gathering more information before making further comments.
The detailed incident report revealed that the police were called at 10 p.m. on Monday by the woman’s mother, who claimed Hall had been physically violent towards her daughter. Allegations included Hall pushing and hitting her with a baby bottle, throwing her belongings outside, and threatening her with a gun. Despite the threats, the woman did not seek medical attention immediately.
Police found additional evidence at the scene, such as a damaged door frame, a punched door, and confiscated two handguns, a .40-caliber Glock, and a 9mm Smith & Wesson. Hall, 21, subsequently left the house in a pickup truck after locking the woman out. There is currently no information available regarding legal representation for Hall in the case.
The Browns did not practice on Tuesday, instead providing treatment and workout sessions at their training facility in Berea, Ohio. They are scheduled to host joint practices with the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday and Thursday, with an exhibition game set for Saturday.
