Brooks and John Williams, known for composing iconic scores for franchises like “Star Wars” and “Indiana Jones,” are among the distinguished individuals joining the ranks of Disney Legends.
Harrison Ford, famous for his roles in the “Star Wars” and “Indiana Jones” franchises, will have his handprints and signature immortalized, over two decades after being inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Additionally, Ford is gearing up to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the upcoming film “Captain America: Brave New World.”
Angela Bassett, a fellow MCU actor known for her roles in “Black Panther” and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” is also being recognized as a Disney Legend. Jamie Lee Curtis, another honoree, has appeared in various projects under The Walt Disney Studios banner and is set to reprise her role in the sequel to the beloved movie “Freaky Friday.” Kelly Ripa, a familiar face on ABC, will also be honored for her contributions to television over the past three decades.
In addition to these well-known figures, Disney is also paying tribute to six creatives who have made significant contributions behind the scenes. These include Colleen Atwood, an Oscar-winning costume designer, Mark Henn, a prominent animator, and the late Steve Ditko, a comics artist known for creating characters like Spider-Man and Doctor Strange.
