A’ja Wilson contributed 14 points, while Breanna Stewart added 13 to secure the victory. This win marked the U.S. team’s 58th consecutive Olympic win, a streak dating back to the 1992 Barcelona Games.
    The U.S. team, with a 3-0 record, secured the top seed in their pool and now looks forward to the quarterfinals in Paris. Despite a strong performance from Germany, the U.S. dominated in reserve points with a 52-13 advantage. Germany, with a 2-1 record and playing in their first Olympics, also advanced to the quarterfinals.
    Prior to this match, the two teams faced each other in an exhibition game in London, where the U.S. comfortably won 84-57. Despite Germany initially taking a 17-8 lead in the first quarter, the U.S. team remained composed throughout the game.
