Fatal collision in Virginia involving pickup truck and horse-drawn buggy leaves one dead and six injured

In Farmville, Virginia, a tragic accident occurred when a pickup truck collided with a horse-drawn buggy, resulting in one fatality and six others sustaining injuries. The incident took place just before 7 p.m. on Sunday on Cumberland Road in the Farmville area of Cumberland County, approximately 50 miles west of Richmond.
According to the Virginia State Police, seven individuals were riding in the buggy when the crash happened. Unfortunately, one person lost their life at the scene, while the remaining six were transported to a hospital with injuries varying from serious to life-threatening. The driver of the pickup truck emerged from the collision unharmed.
Authorities stated that an investigation into the cause of the crash is currently ongoing.
