A tire malfunction during landing caused a delay for American Airlines passengers flying from Tampa to Phoenix on Wednesday morning. Emergency services responded to American Airlines Flight 590 around 8 a.m. at Tampa International Airport. A video circulating on YouTube shows the plane on the runway, with its right-rear tire smoking and then collapsing. The aircraft came to a halt at the runway’s end, with emergency vehicles arriving promptly.

A total of 174 passengers and six crew members were safely evacuated from the plane and shuttled to the terminal, confirmed American Airlines spokesperson Alfredo Garduño. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported among those on board. Passengers were accommodated on an alternative flight following the incident, while Tampa International Airport assured that other flight activities remained unaffected.
