Bill Clinton discharged from hospital following flu treatment

Former President Bill Clinton was released from a Washington D.C. hospital on Tuesday, just in time to celebrate Christmas at home, following his admission the previous day due to a fever.

Clinton is currently receiving treatment for influenza, as confirmed by Angel Urena, who serves as his deputy chief of staff. In a statement regarding his discharge, Urena expressed the gratitude that Clinton and his family feel for the outstanding medical team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, emphasizing how meaningful the supportive messages and well-wishes have been during this time.

Urena also conveyed that Clinton extends his warmest holiday greetings, wishing everyone a joyful and healthy season.

The 78-year-old former president was hospitalized on Monday afternoon to undergo various tests and be monitored for his condition.

Clinton served as the 42nd president from January 1993 until January 2001. Earlier this year, he made an appearance at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago and actively campaigned for Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris during the fall elections. Ultimately, Harris did not succeed in her bid against Republican candidate Donald Trump in November.

In recent times, Clinton has added to his literary contributions with the release of his latest book, titled “Citizen.” This memoir delves into his post-presidential life and explores his engagement with philanthropy.
