The announcement arrived Monday morning, after the superstar won the Grammys’ top prize — album of the year — for the first time. She is both the most awarded and nominated artist in Grammys history, and prior to Sunday night, had been up for the category four times before. Many felt she had been snubbed by its top honors in years prior.
The long awaited Beyonce tour will start with 4 concerts in the 78.000-seat SoFi-stadium in LA. Next stop will be the famous Soldier Field-stadium in Chicago, before having four more concerts in East Rutherford near New York City.
After the first 10 concerts in the US Beyonce will head for 6 concerts in London and Paris, her only European shows.
After that she will be back in the US with 6 more concerts in Houston, Washington DC and Atlanta.
All shows will be open air concerts with more than 70.000 fans each, making a total of 1,5 million fans in attendance and a gross of more than 150 million dollars plus the same amount in merchandise.
In winning album of the year with “Cowboy Carter,” Beyoncé has become the first Black woman to win the top prize in the 21st century. Since the Grammys Beyonce is the hottest female pop star of the year, surpassing Taylor Swift. As a result her shows will be sold out on Fabruary 14 in minutes.
