HOUSTON — In an exciting matchup on Saturday evening, the Lamar Cardinals triumphed over Houston Christian with a score of 66-58. Ja’Sean Jackson was instrumental for the Cardinals, contributing 17 points and dishing out five assists, helping his team secure their 18th victory of the season and improve their Southland Conference record to 13-4.
Adam Hamilton also played a key role in the win, adding 11 points to the scoreboard along with three steals. Additionally, Danquez Dawsey made an efficient impact, scoring nine points while successfully landing four of his five attempts from the field.
On the opposing side, the Huskies saw Julian Mackey and Bryson Dawkins both score 18 points in a valiant effort. Porter Bazil further supported the team’s effort with 10 points, along with two steals and three blocks.
Looking ahead, both teams are set to return to the court on Monday. The Lamar Cardinals will be traveling to take on Incarnate Word, while Houston Christian will be hosting Stephen F. Austin in their upcoming game.
