LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — In an impressive performance on Saturday night, Jordan Jefferson led Little Rock to a decisive victory over Western Illinois, finishing the game with 25 points and securing a 75-61 win.
Jefferson was highly efficient, making 10 of his 16 shots from the field, including 3 of 5 from the three-point line, along with hitting 2 of 3 attempts at the charity stripe. His contributions significantly aided the Trojans, who now hold an overall record of 18-11 and a conference mark of 12-6 within the Ohio Valley Conference. Teammate Tuongthach Gatkek had a solid outing as well, scoring 15 points and grabbing 12 rebounds, while also making three steals on defense. Mwani Wilkinson rounded out the effort with 12 points, having shot 5 for 12, including a couple of three-pointers, and contributing eight rebounds to the team’s total.
For the Leathernecks, Ryan Myers was the standout player, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds. Western Illinois struggled throughout the match, putting them at a 10-19 record overall and a 4-14 mark in their conference. Trey Deveaux provided additional support with 11 points and nine rebounds.
