HARRISONBURG, Va. — In an exciting matchup on Saturday night, Bryce Lindsay contributed 18 points to lead James Madison to a victory over Georgia Southern with a final score of 78-73.
Lindsay was efficient on the court, converting 7 of 12 attempts, including 2 of 6 from three-point range. The Dukes, boasting a record of 19-10 and 12-4 in the Sun Belt Conference, received additional support from Elijah Hutchins-Everett, who netted 16 points with an impressive shooting performance of 5 of 8 from the floor and 6 for 8 from the free-throw line, while also grabbing seven rebounds. Mark Freeman also played a key role, scoring 13 points despite having a tough time shooting, hitting 4 of 16 shots from the field, 2 of which were from beyond the arc, and he was 3 for 4 at the charity stripe, alongside his six rebounds.
On the other side, Nakavieon White was the standout player for the Eagles, tallying 18 points and collecting seven rebounds. He was closely followed by Bradley Douglas, who also finished with 18 points and secured six rebounds for Georgia Southern, which holds a record of 14-15 and 6-10 in conference play. Adante’ Holiman added 15 points to the Eagles’ efforts in the match.
