GRAND FORKS, N.D. — In an intense matchup on Saturday, Treysen Eaglestaff delivered an impressive performance, scoring 27 points as North Dakota triumphed over North Dakota State with a close score of 79-77.
Eaglestaff showcased his shooting skills by making 11 of his 16 attempts from the floor, including a remarkable 5 of 6 from beyond the arc. The Fightin’ Hawks improved their record to 11-18 overall and 5-9 in the Summit League with this victory.
Adding to the scoring for North Dakota, Deng Mayar contributed 13 points, hitting 4 of 6 from the field and going 4 for 5 from the free-throw line, alongside grabbing seven rebounds. Mambourou Mara also played a key role in the team’s success, scoring 11 points and connecting on 5 of 7 shots.
For the Bison, Jacari White was the standout player, leading his team with 26 points. Jacksen Moni supported North Dakota State with 14 points along with six rebounds and four assists. Additionally, Masen Miller contributed 14 points and recorded two steals for the Bison, who now hold a record of 20-10 and 9-6 in the league.
