SPARTANBURG, S.C. — A stellar performance from Quimari Peterson, who scored 27 points, propelled East Tennessee State to a 73-68 victory over Wofford on Saturday.
Peterson was also instrumental on the boards, securing 10 rebounds to help his team improve their record to 17-12 overall and 10-6 in the Southern Conference.
Additionally, Jaden Seymour contributed significantly with 16 points, shooting 4 of 9 from the field and impressively converting 7 of his 11 free-throw attempts.
DJ Hughes added 12 points, finishing 6 of 7 from the field while also grabbing seven rebounds, though he struggled at the free-throw line, going 0 for 3.

On the opposing side, Corey Tripp led the way for the Terriers, delivering an impressive 31 points, alongside four assists and two blocks.
Jackson Sivills chipped in with 14 points, and Dillon Bailey provided six points while contributing two steals.
With this outcome, Wofford’s record now stands at 15-14 and 9-7 in the conference.

Both teams are set to compete again on Wednesday, with East Tennessee State preparing to host Mercer while Wofford will be on the road facing Western Carolina.
