Reynolds nets 25 points to guide Saint Joseph’s past Richmond 78-62

PHILADELPHIA — In a strong performance on Saturday, Erik Reynolds II scored 25 points, leading Saint Joseph’s to a 78-62 victory over Richmond.
Reynolds showcased his skills by shooting 9 for 16 from the field, including a remarkable 7 for 12 from beyond the arc, contributing significantly to the Hawks’ success in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
Rasheer Fleming also had an impressive game, adding 23 points to the scoreboard while making 9 of 13 attempts (4 for 8 from three-point range) and grabbing six rebounds. Xzayvier Brown supported the team well with 15 points, hitting 5 of 10 shots, including one out of five from long range, and converting all four of his free-throw attempts.

On the other side, the Spiders struggled to keep pace, with Dusan Neskovic leading their squad with 14 points. Both Mike Walz and Mikkel Tyne contributed 13 points each, with Walz also providing five assists to the team.

Saint Joseph’s took control early in the game, establishing a lead just 1 minute and 33 seconds into the first half and maintaining it without looking back. By halftime, the score was 43-26, with Fleming contributing 13 points to the Hawk’s total. In the second half, Richmond managed to slightly improve their performance, edging out Saint Joseph’s by a point, but Reynolds still managed to net 12 points after the halftime break.

The victory propels Saint Joseph’s to a record of 17-10 overall and 9-6 within their conference, while Richmond falls to 10-18 and 5-10.
