In an impressive display on Friday, Brentford defeated Leicester City 4-0, marking a new club record with four consecutive victories away from home in the Premier League.
The team, managed by Thomas Frank, dominated the match, taking a commanding 3-0 lead before the halftime whistle.

The scoring opened with Yoane Wissa, who capitalized on an intricate flick from Mikkel Damsgaard to find the net from close range just 17 minutes into the game.
Following that, Bryan Mbuemo made a strong move from the right side, unleashing a curling shot that hit the back of the net ten minutes later.
Christian Norgaard then added a deft header, making it 3-0 in favor of Brentford with just over half an hour played.

Leicester’s first half performance was dismal, nearly suffering further damage when Kristoffer Ajer’s shot struck the post right before halftime. The hosts also had a goal from Keane Lewis-Potter disallowed due to a handball infringement.
Although Leicester saw a boost with the introduction of Facundo Buonanotte shortly past the hour mark, it proved too late for the struggling team, which remained in the second-to-last position in the standings, failing to score at King Power Stadium since December 8.
Fábio Carvalho capped the brilliant outing for Brentford with a goal late in the match.

This encounter marked the first occasion Brentford has netted three goals in the first half of an away match in Premier League history. Damsgaard articulated the team’s ambition moving forward, emphasizing the need to translate their strong away performances into success on home turf. Since December 21, the London club has secured only one point from a possible 15 at home.
“It’s great that we can achieve wins away, but now we need to focus on getting those home wins too,” the Danish player shared. “While we dream big, we’re also aware of the challenges and will take one game at a time.”

On the flip side, Leicester City recorded an unwanted milestone, becoming the first team in Premier League history to lose six consecutive home matches without scoring during the same season.
Coach Ruud van Nistelrooy acknowledged the severity of their latest setback, expressing disappointment despite some promising chances early in the match. “While there were moments that could have changed the course of the game, we ultimately never regained control and by halftime, it was evident the match was lost,” he remarked.

He also recognized the substantial gap between the two teams, noting that Brentford was currently several steps ahead. Van Nistelrooy called for collective effort among the players, stating, “We all need to elevate ourselves and support one another. Everyone leaves disappointing tonight, gutted by the result and our overall performance.”
