Rataj scores 25 as Oregon State defeats Pepperdine 84-78

MALIBU, Calif. — Michael Rataj’s impressive performance with 25 points was instrumental in Oregon State’s 84-78 victory against Pepperdine on Thursday night.

In addition to his scoring, Rataj secured 12 rebounds for the Beavers, who improved their record to 19 wins and 9 losses overall, with a 9-6 standing in the West Coast Conference. Parsa Fallah was also a standout for Oregon State, contributing 24 points by hitting 10 of 16 shots from the floor and going 4 for 6 at the free-throw line. Liutauras Lelevicius added to the team’s effort, finishing with nine points on 4 of 8 shooting.

For the Waves, who now hold a record of 10-18 and 4-11 in conference play, Boubacar Coulibaly was the top scorer, amassing 20 points, 11 rebounds, along with two steals and two blocks. Moe Odum also made a significant contribution with 19 points and seven assists, while Stefan Todorovic chipped in with 10 points.

During the first half, Fallah was a key player for Oregon State, scoring 13 points and helping his team lead narrowly 38-37 at halftime. Rataj took charge in the second half, putting up 18 points and helping to secure the win for Oregon State.
