POCATELLO, Idaho — In a compelling matchup on Thursday, Idaho State secured an 82-74 triumph over Portland State, led by the impressive performance of Dylan Darling, who recorded 16 points and 13 assists.
Darling was not only a playmaker but also contributed defensively, grabbing seven rebounds and making three steals for the Bengals, who now hold a record of 12-13 overall and 7-7 in the Big Sky Conference.
Connor Hollenbeck also made his mark on the game with 16 points, while Jake O’Neil added a solid 15 points along with seven rebounds, further supporting the team in their victory.
For the Vikings, who fell to 16-11 on the season and 8-6 in conference play, Terri Miller Jr. stood out as the top scorer, delivering an impressive performance with 28 points and two steals. Qiant Myers supported with 21 points, and Isaiah Johnson contributed 12 points, but their efforts were not enough to overcome the Bengals.
Looking ahead, both teams will return to the court on Saturday. Idaho State is set to host Sacramento State, while Portland State will travel to face Weber State.
